This orchestration is written so that if you have piano and strings (violin 1, 2, viola, cello), it is playable. Winds and brass are used as extra colors and certainly add depth to the sound, but if you have only some or even none of the winds and brass this arrangement should still be playable by your orchestra. I would make sure you have a good pianist. If you have an instrument that is not in the score, please feel free to contact me and I can see what I can do to create a part.

I originally wrote this arrangement for horn solo with piano accompaniment. After recording it on my album, I’ll Sing Thy Power to Save, I decided to edit the arrangement again for string quartet and then eventually expanded it to full orchestra. I hope this musical backdrop to this beautiful text paints a fresh picture of the infinite fountain of forgivingness offered by Christ through His shed blood on the Cross.
